Dr. Stafford is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston where he was awarded the Martin J. Loeb Memorial Prize in Medicine for “academic achievement and evidence of basic human qualities.” Being originally from California he moved back and did his residency at the University of Southern California. In 2012 he was honored by the USC medical students with the “Excellence in Teaching” award. He is currently an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations.
After completing his residency, Dr. Stafford worked for Kaiser Permanente, expanding his skills at their busy pediatric clinics and urgent care centers in the Los Angeles area. He also continued working for USC and Los Angeles County in a heavily trafficked downtown urgent care.
Dr. Stafford has a passionate commitment to children and their well being. Over the years he has worked at children’s camps, mentored students, and volunteered caring for children overseas. This passion was evident at such a young age that on his 16th birthday Dr. Stafford received a toy from a close friend who told him to “put it in his pediatric office one day.”
His love of medicine and people from all walks of life has kept Dr. Stafford passionate about his adult patients as well. He is a fan of patient-centered medicine, understanding that every person has their own unique life circumstances and health challenges. He believes the best physician-patient relationships are patient-motivated, and have the clear and simple goal of the patient’s best health…period.
Outside of work Dr. Stafford enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Amy, his son Luke and his sweet little dog, Gracie. He loves the outdoors and has completed the Boston Marathon and several triathlons around the country.
